Automation & bespoke software

Your challenge.
A useful solution.

Practical tools built around the way your team works. Daniel brings together event experience, design and AI-assisted development to make complex tasks easier for people.

Start with the issue

You explain the problem.
I work on the solution.

Maybe your committee needs a simpler way to build a program. Maybe your team is repeating the same administration, or useful information is buried in a spreadsheet.

I’m Daniel. Ideas and solutions are my thing. I listen to what’s getting in the way, draw on my event and design experience, and develop a practical tool around the task.

You don’t need to arrive with a software specification. Start with what you’re trying to do, who needs to do it and what would make their work easier.

What we can make easier

Tools with a job to do.

The starting point is a practical need. These are some of the ways a tailored solution can support your event or team.

Reduce repetitive administration

Focused tools for tasks such as generating event letters and keeping a record of requests, so the team can spend less time repeating the same work.

Make planning visual

Interfaces that help people organise information and make decisions more easily—such as placing abstracts into a program schedule with drag and drop.

Make spreadsheet data useful

Turn information into graphs, summaries and heatmaps that help committees understand submissions, interests and the shape of their event.

Connect the moving parts

Explore how abstract, registration and email systems can work together. Identify where a clearer workflow, platform configuration or custom tool will help.

Built for MMIRA

Three needs.
Three practical tools.

For MMIRA, I developed tools to support attendee administration, committee planning and board reporting. Each one addressed a specific task.

01 / Attendee administration

Visa support letters

International attendees needed event visa support letters. A simple program, accessed through a provided link, generated the letter and recorded each request.

A spreadsheet kept the record available for reporting after the event. The tool saved hours of repeated administration.

02 / Committee planning

A visual program builder

We imported the abstract spreadsheet into a queue and created a schedule with empty slots. Committee members could drag abstracts into the program to assemble it visually.

It gave the committee an easy way to build the program from the submissions in front of them.

03 / Board reporting

Graphs & topic heatmaps

Custom graphical reports turned spreadsheet data into views of where abstract submissions came from, along with heatmaps of the topics and themes selected.

The reports gave the team visuals they could present at MMIRA board meetings.

How I approach it

Understand the work.
Make the technology useful.

01 / Listen

Start with the real issue.

Tell me what you need to achieve, who is involved and where the process becomes difficult. We’ll look at the systems and information you already have.

02 / Find the approach

Work out what will help.

I bring ideas and technical experience to the problem. The solution could be a simpler workflow, better use of an existing platform or a focused custom tool.

03 / Build for people

Shape it around the task.

Use design, programming and AI-assisted development to make the agreed solution practical. Keep the people using it—and what they need to understand—at the centre.

A clear, practical engagement

Open about AI.
Clear about the scope.

I use AI as part of my development process, alongside my own experience in design, programming and event operations. I’m open about that involvement, including in the contract where applicable.

The value is in understanding the problem and shaping a solution that works for your team.

Bring me the problem

What would you like to make easier?

Tell me what your team is trying to do, what tools you use now and where you’re getting stuck.

A real example is a useful place to start. You don’t need to know how the solution should be built.
